Today one of the greatest rappers to touch a mic was born, Christopher Wallace better known as The Notorious BIG. Biggie’s rap style has influenced many rappers today, and many still use many of his punch lines. The New York rapper had his claim to fame with the release of his album ‘Ready To Die’ in 1994. He was at the top of his game when he was fatally shot by an unknown gunman March 9, 1997. He never got to see his second album Life After Death rise to No. 1 on the charts.
He definitely left an impact on hip-hop culture as a whole. The biopic that was based on his life could have been written better but definitely pays homage to a hip hop great. Let’s take a walk down memory lane by watching some great BIG videos.
