The ALS is an association and non profit organization that helps donate money for the awareness of Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The ALS has started a challenge called the #IceBucketChallenge. Someone is called out to do the challenge and they can either complete the challenge and nominate 3 others to do it or if they are scared to do it, they donate to an ALS charity of their choice. People are donating as well as participating in the challenge. Since the start of the challenge, they have raised 10 million dollars. Big name stars such as Oprah, LeBron James, Kevin Hart, Carmelo Anthony, Boris Kodjoe, Justin Timberlake and Tyler Perry have had the cold ice water poured on their heads.
