On this date 20 years ago, the world lost a beautiful voice and soul way too soon. The beautiful Selena Quintanilla-Perez was young and successful and had her life taken by the hands of a woman she called her best friend. Yolonda Saldivar was charged with Selena’s murder. Selena’s legacy however continues to live on, still touching lives in many ways.
Today to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her death, Adrienne Bailon, co-host of the hit talk show ‘The Real’, paid homage to Selena by performing her song “I Could Fall In Love”.
I think it was wonderful to have Selena’s sister Suzette in the audience. Adrienne did pretty good in my opinion. She has not performed because she felt her voice was too high pitched for her to be 31.
In honor of Selena, here is another one of her hits, and one of my favorite songs.
