Young & The Restless Star Sues Hospital Where His Son Committed Suicide

Kristoff St. John is suing the mental hospital where his 24 year old son Julian St. John committed suicide. Kristoff has filed a wrongful death suit because he feels the hospital did not have saving his son’s life on their priority list. The hospital did not remove the trash bags from his son’s room. 3 weeks prior to his death, Julian attempted to kill himself with a trash bag in his room. Kristoff says that is why he was checked into the hospital, and the hospital still gave him access to the trash bags, which he used to end his life.

Kristoff also says there is proof that nurses have falsified records. Nurses and staff were supposed to check on him every 15 minutes for being on suicide watch, but the “checks” were being logged even before they had happened.

Kristoff was found dead at 1:44 pm, and the nurses already had patient checks logged between 2 pm-3:15 pm.

Sounds like he definitely has a case against this facility. How can you be that negligent with a patient on suicide watch. If they will like about that, who knows what else they aren’t doing for other patients.
