It seemed like NeNe Leakes was the HBIC over at Bravo when it came to the Real Housewives of Atlanta. She has been on the show since the show aired in 2008. This was her stepping stone into the entertainment industry, which eventually led her taking her talents to Broadway.
Well if you thought NeNe would never leave the show, she just announced that she has quit, and “a weight has been lifted” off her shoulders.
Via her Instagram, NeNe Leakes made the announcement that she was leaving the hit Bravo show, Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Now this news comes as a complete shock, as it was announced earlier this month that her now former castmate Claudia Jordan was the one that was no longer returning. Had NeNe had enough of reality tv or did the fact she became enemies with everyone except Porsha and Phaedra play a huge factor?
Regardless of the reason, NeNe has proven she can be very successful outside of reality tv. She has starred in two nationally syndicated tv shows, she has her clothing line which continues to sell out on HSN. She is also about to open a store to sell NeNe by NeNe Leakes directly. I also saw that she is now featured on Kim Kardashian’s mobile app game. So pretty much, the girl won’t be missing no meals.
