All good things must come to an end. The creator and writer of the show “The Game” Mara Brock Akil, has confirmed that the series is going to end after the finale of season 9. The cast is currently filming for season 8 which will air in 2015. BET released a statement about the show.
All good things must come to an end and after celebrating four successful seasons of THE GAME on BET, the Network has announced production is underway on the show’s final two seasons. In January 2011 the cult following of The Game proved that the show was a fan favorite with 7.7 million viewers for its premiere debut on BET. With seasons eight and nine, we’re excited to end on a high note by giving Sabers fans a chance to bid farewell to their favorite players on and off the field.
Mrs. Akil took to her twitter regarding the end of the series. She said “What a time of reflection… Spent time with my AMAZING #cast and #producers. TheGame going out on our terms after 9 seasons!! #blessed….Tonight the #cast #crew #producers #execs hugged and high-fived our announcement that this last production cycle will be our last… #TheGame”.
What do you think about the series ending? I don’t think it has been the same since Melanie and Derwin exited stage left but it was still a good show. I wonder what the cast will move on to next.
