This right here is getting beyond out of hand. All of these people including the government saying “It will be nearly impossible to contract the virus” are being proved wrong. I have seen the hazmat suits and the “precautions” they take to not contract the virus….but somehow a nurse who treated a patient who had the virus has now contracted Ebola. She is the first case of someone contracting the virus on US soil, but now the 2nd to be diagnosed in the US.
The CDC has spoken on the situation but are pointing the finger at the nurse. The CDC Director Thomas Frieden says
“We don’t know what occurred in the care of the index patient, the original patient in Dallas,” said Frieden on Sunday morning, “but at some point, there was a breach in protocol, and that breach in protocol resulted in this infection.” “Unfortunately it is possible in the coming days that we will see additional cases of Ebola,” Frieden said during a press conference. “Because the health care workers who cared for [Duncan] may have had a breach of the same nature of the [nurse] who appears now to have a preliminary positive test.”
I read that there are only 4 hospitals on the country with isolation units that specialize in infectious disease. Why aren’t any of these being utilized? How dare the CDC blame the nurse when they keep allowing people to fly back into the US commercially before they clear them of having the disease or not. I will keep you updated on this story.
