DJ Mustard is known for producing major hip hop hits like Tyga’s ‘Rack City’, 2 Chainz ‘Im Different’ and Jerimih ‘Don’t Tell Em’. He is becoming one of the most requested producers in the industry. One person however is letting the world know that he did not do it alone. Music composer Mike Free says he actually wrote, composed and recorded music that became “Rack City”, but Mustard is not giving him his credit due nor any money received from the song.
Mike Free has composed a law suit against Mustard to obtain what he says he is owed. Free says the two were childhood friends who decided to share composer and producer credits. Free says he was the brain behind the ideas and Mustard had the connections to sell them. Apparently the two worked on many other songs for artists but only Mustard is seeing the money.
I don’t care how long I have known you, if we do business together, a contract will be signed, sealed and delivered.
