Well I never thought I would read these words. New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne tweeted that he no longer wants to be apart of Cash Money Records. Wayne started out at Cash Money when he was just 13/14 years old and became 1/4 of the historic group ‘The Hot Boys’. Many have come and gone from Cash Money but Wayne remained loyal and also formed his own label, Young Money, which has artists like Tyga, Drake and Nicki Minaj.
Today however, Wayne let the world know what’s really going on at the CMB offices.

We recently reported that Tyga was also unhappy with Cash Money and their management. They were refusing to release his album. Mack Maine spoke up about what Tyga said in Cash Money’s defense, but being that Wayne placed Mack Maine in his position of President of Young Money….he can’t really refute this as “biting the hand that feeds you” as he put with Tyga.
Could this have been apart of why B.G., Turk, and Juvenile left? We know money played a major role, but is this a pattern with the company? I recently saw a post that said Juve had resigned to Cash Money again…..he may want to rethink that. When you really think about it, how many people signed to this label and never release more than 1 album….if that! Busta Rhymes left in July, and Mystikal is currently trying to get off the label as well.
Pusha T responded to Wayne’s tweets.
@LilTunechi if u wanna drop albums & don't want your CEO's rubbing they hands all in your videos, COME TO GOOD MUSIC!! (Suge Knight voice)
