A group that calls themselves ‘Guardians Of Peace’ has been putting Sony Entertainment Group on blast! They hacked the emails of top Sony officials who never intended what they said to get to the general public. One of the leaks included information about Matthew Knowles, the former manager of girl group Destiny’s Child.
One of the emails sent to Sony execs was dated 12/4/13 from Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper. The email read:
Matthew Knowles, Beyonce’s Father wants to make the film of Destiny’s Child and came to me first. He’s going to Universal next. Do we think it would be a successful film? They’re on Sony label. I’m just not sure that it’s not too soon.
No word yet on if Sony took Mr. Knowles up on his idea, but reportedly Lifetime is planning on a Destiny’s Child movie for 2015. The film will focus on Beyonce’s parent’s and how their divorce affected their life.
Would the world care to see a film about Destiny’s Child? If not, is that why Lifetime is focusing on their marriage instead?
