Nicki Minaj has definitely evolved from her bubble gum pink wigs to a grown ass woman. She sat down with Angie Martinez and POWER 105.1 and gave a very intimate interview about her life currently. She touched on subjects like how she came to work with Beyonce, her new album ‘The Pink Print’, Meek Mill, why she would NEVER sleep with Drake, and her split with ex fiancee Safaree Samuels. When she talks about her ex she gets really emotional and Angie has to cut to commercial breaks. Watch the interview below.
I can definitely respect what she said about her ex Safaree. Most people will throw major shade because they are hurt, but she is letting it be known that the love was and still is real for them.
Let me honest (Barbz don’t come for me), I never really cared for Nicki. I liked a few songs here and there, but she was always just EXTRA to me. I just couldn’t connect with that. After watching this interview though, I definitely see Nicki more as a person. She allowed people to really see who she is behind the make-up, the hair and the music. I think women can definitely relate to what she is going through. I like this version of Onika Miraj.
