Canadian r&b singer The Weeknd was arrested Saturday in Las Vegas after he was accused of punching a cop. He allegedly was involved in a fight that took place inside The Cromwell Hotel about 4 am. Police showed up and attempted to break up the fight. One of the cops is said to have pulled The Weeknd in the elevator while the scuffle was still going strong. While on the elevator The Weeknd began punching one cop in his head repeatedly.
He was taken to jail and booked for battery of a protected person.
After he was bailed out of jail, he posted a pic of him getting on a private plane and a caption saying “escaped Las Vegas”
