Houston Rapper Accuses Rihanna Of Stealing Her Song For “B**ch Better Have My Money”

Rihanna is still high on the success of her new hit single ‘B**ch Better Have My Money’ and there is already a claim of music biting going on.

A Houston rapper named Just Brittany is claiming that there is nothing original about Ri Ri’s song, because her song was stolen.

Brittany says that she released her song ‘Have My Money’ in February 2014, and is very similar to Rihanna’s. Now before you guys go calling The Navy (Rihanna’s fans) to attack, this type of thing happens all the time. Producers hear music from unknown artists who don’t really have a buzz, and sell it to a popular artist for the money and notoriety.

Let’s take a listen to Just Brittany’s version and then Rihanna’s to see if there is a comparison.

The two have some similarities, but they aren’t totally the same. I am sure Just Brittany will follow Marvin Gaye’s family and sue Ri Ri and whoever had anything to do with the song.

The producer of Rihanna’s song is named Deputy. He spoke to ‘The Fader’ about the making of the song, which totally contradicts what Just Brittany is saying.

Did you help write on the song as well?
I produced the record—meaning that I went in and helped arrange the vocals. I was instrumental in the writing process and producing the record to where it’s at now. The whole process started in the studio with the writer, and then once Rihanna got a hold of it then she took it to her level.

The sound of “Bitch Better Have My Money” caught people by surprise. How did you know that it would fit for Rihanna?
Once that song was done, it was just a feeling, like, I could see her saying some s–t like this. Or, this is the s–t she needs to be saying. Or, this is the s–t that she wants to say.

Kanye West, Travi$ Scott, and Wondagurl are listed as co-producers, too.
I owe Kanye nothing but gratitude—he played an instrumental part in getting the record to Rihanna. Wondagurl’s contribution I didn’t know about, but Travi$ came in and added the part in the second verse where the beat changes. The record is 90-95% me—it’s no shade on nobody, but at the end of the day, the record is produced by Deputy. I been in this game for a minute, so I understand how the game is, and it’s cool.

Obviously he forgot one part about the game, when you give an artist on Rihanna’s level a song that may be stolen, lawsuits are apart of that.
