It seems to be hard for Darkman X these days. A New York Judge has ordered DMX to give his ex wife, Tashera Simmons, $61,000 in in music royalties since he owes her child support.
He also owed a company called Amusing Diversions some money off his royalties through Universal Music. Universal explains that they couldn’t pay because they received a divorce decree saying that they were to pay Tashera $15,000 a month from his royalties.
The judge decided that Universal would pay Amusing Diversions $33, 377.66 by 31st. Once the courts discovered DMX was still receiving money from his old music, they ordered $61,336 to paid from Universal to his ex wife.
Universal has until this week to fork over the money, and also give the court information about the current monies coming in for DMX.
Well, maybe he didn’t steal that cash from the dude at the gas station. He is still getting a nice amount of money from his royalties for him to survive.
