This past Saturday, 50 Cent went on a rant about how the cable provider AT&T was racist for not wanting to air Power. AT&T U-Verse decided they may no longer include Starz to their roster of channels, because they could not reach a distribution deal.
50 took to his Instagram to give his two cents on the matter. He believes because Power is an “urban” show, U-Verse is purposely wanting to let go of the network.

Apparently, the former AT&T President Aaron Slator, was fired after racist texts and pictures were found on his work phone. 50 posted but deleted a picture of an article about the racist scandal, and as his caption he wrote, “When this was happening they were saying they had the STARZ and other networks that created programming targeting multiple ethnicity’s now I guess (THERE NOT F–KING WITH N—-S).SMH,”
A rep for the the cable provider released a statement, “Starz and their paid talent can spin up whatever they like, but the bottom line is we’re NOT going to negotiate a deal that is bad for customers. In these negotiations, our customers are all that matter to us.”
I wonder what about Power makes it so different than other shows that air on HBO or Showtime, that AT&T feels they don’t want to subject their customers to the network. This also means 50 will see a drop in his ratings because he will lose A LOT of viewers.
Get to the drawing board 50!
