If you ever wondered what life was like for Nicki Minaj growing up, well now you have your chance to find out! Nicki is teaming up with ABC Family to debut a new series about her life, growing up in the 90’s.
Taking place in Queens, NY, the show will follow a younger O’nika and her family, whom are all immigrants from Saint James, Trinidad & Tobago. It will also obviously include how she got started with wanting to be an entertainer, leading up to where she is today.
Nicki will be executive producing and will appear in the show at some point in the series.
“Nicki Minaj is a force to be reckoned with at everything she touches,” said ABC Family’s EVP Programming and Development Karey Burke. “Nicki is an international superstar, yet not everyone knows how inspiring and hilarious her true story is, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.”
Word on the street is that she is currently looking for the perfect actress to play the younger Nicki. Look out for the casting call.
