Dave Chappelle has landed a 60 million dollar deal just for doing 3 stand up specials on Netflix. Talk about flexing…..geesh!
After his awesome SNL hosting and performance, it will mark 12 years since Dave Chappelle has done a tv stand up special. Netflix believes Chappelle will bring in a lot of new subscribers with these newly anticipated shows.
2 of the shows will be Chapelle’s personal shows happening at the ACL Theater in Austin, TX and the Hollywood Palladium. The other will be from Netflix directly.
Netflix hasn’t confirmed stating, “We don’t comment on the financial terms of our deals.” Lisa Nishimura, the company’s VP of original documentary and comedy shared her thoughts on his work so far and what’s to come in the future. “Dave Chappelle is a legendary voice in comedy — searing, vital, and now more than ever, essential,” she said. “Dave’s three new specials promise to be some of the most anticipated events in comedy.”
