Is Zaza Pachulia to blame for Kawhi’s injury?
Finally, after 3 years, we get to see the 2 western conference juggernauts battle to see who’s BEST IN THE WEST! San Antonio Spurs drew first blood burying the Warriors under a 20 point deficit by half time, and looked like they were heading to an easy victory. THEN Spurs star player Kawhi Leonard sprained his ALREADY injured left ankle, not once but twice.
The first came from Kawhi backing up after shooting a corner 3 and stepping on his teammates foot rolling that left ankle. He jumped up fast but was noticeably in pain as he hopped back on defense. Coach Greg Popavich took Kawhi out of the game to be evaluated, and returned in the same quarter, only to twist the same ankle, shooting the same shot, in the same corner.
This time the only difference was he landed on the opposing players foot Zaza Pachulia. Now the media is speculating whether or not Zaza intentionally stuck his foot underneath Leonard. Due to previous situations involving Zaza, players and coaches have labeled him a “dirty player”.
