With the Lakers potentially losing their pick if the fell below the number 3 slot, they received a blessing from the basketball gods. They were gifted the no.2 overall pick and Magic Johnson (Lakers president of basketball operations) was there to gratefully receive.

Last year the Lakers drafted the young prospect Brandon Ingram at the no.2 spot as well, but he averaged under 10 ppg on 40 % shooting. Now with all the hype surrounding the great Lavar, I mean Lonzo Ball, we know he will most certainly do better than that, right? Lets look at Lonzo’s UCLA stats shall we.
Pretty solid numbers, what’s most impressing to me is his FG%, for a guard that’s very good. This kid already has a target on his back in large part due to his father Lavar Ball, and the recently debut Lonzo sneaker selling for $495. Yes, that is not a misprint, I said $495!
Hey, but who cares, as long as he comes in and has an immediate impact scoring 20+ points, dishing 7 assists or more every game you’ll be begging to buy his shoes and a first class ticket on the Big Baller Bandwagon with me as the driver. ALL ABOARD!
