Over the weekend a video released of former actress Maia Campbell apparently relapsing on drugs. Her former co-star LL Cool J wants to help her, but she wants a benefit concert instead.
If you don’t remember Maia Campbell, she was the chocolate beauty that played Tiffany Warren on the hit UPN TV show “In The House”. The show also starred Debbie Allen and LL Cool J.
A few years back, a video of Maia went viral, and that’s when we learned she had a drug addiction she was struggling with. After the initial video we also learned that she has bipolar disorder.
Maia appeared on Iyanla Vanzant’s ‘Fix My Life’ back in 2012, where she decided to face her demons and try to get help.
After losing custody of her daughter, Campbell struggled to find her way. She ended up clean and also appeared on season 2 of ‘The Bottom Up’, a show about women who hit a downward spiral in their lives but found their way back above water. She looked healthy again and even wrote a book.
Last weekend though, a video of Maia at a gas station in Atlanta, GA surfaced. She was asking rapper local T Hood for crack cocaine.
This video prompted LL to try to reach out to her.
Maia made a response video in a barber shop she is working at temporarily. She says instead of helping her, she wants LL to do a benefit concert for mental health awareness.
LL definitely saw the video and posted to Twitter.
You can't help someone who doesn't want your help.

Prayer up for Maia Campbell. Her daughter is now 17, and I know she wants her mother to get clean again. Hopefully she does before it’s too late.
