50 Cent is threatening to pull ‘Power’ from the Starz network.
On Monday 50 posted on his Instagram account that he was feeling different about his relationship with Starz and the future of the hit cable series, Power. He wrote:
I woke up feeling a little different about POWER this morning . If the biggest show on your net work doesn’t mean anything, what does your network mean STARZ? I’m taking my talents to south beach fuck this. 4 more episodes then you know, NINO. 👿
Apparently the writers wanted Ghost to spend more time in prison, and give us more of a story line to follow. However, the network did not want to allow writers to have more episodes and forced what would have been a few different episodes into one. Creator of the series, Courtney Kemp, explained that she initially needed 12 episodes.
“Unfortunately, Starz would not give us the extra episode,” Kemp said. “I asked them for 12 episodes for Season 4, and they would not do it. So because they would not do it, we had to make it one episode.”
It sounds like 50 is fed up and wants another network to take over. I absolutely love the show as do millions of other people. I am actually shocked it has not gotten any accolades since the show first aired.
I am sure HBO would love to jump on the Power train.
