Kendrick Lamar gives African royalty vibes in new visuals for his new leading single from the Black Panther soundtrack.
With the release of the highly anticipated Marvel’s Black Panther movie being right around the corner, K. Dot’s video comes at the perfect time. Directed by Dave Meyers & the little homies (literally that is what the credit says), the video did not disappoint.
They take you through time back to Africa, seeing us as royalty and supreme beings. SZA sings the hook and dances gracefully among the stars and in the background. The imagery says it all. The beginning is very interesting too. It shows Kendrick on a boat, (made me thing of Noah’s Arc) riding through hand waves…literally. Take a look.
