Toni, Traci, Trina, Towanda, Tamar and…..Phaedra?
If you haven’t heard, 4 out of 5 of the Braxton sisters are on a strike from Braxton Family Values. The sisters feel WE Tv should be paying them more, so until their contracts are negotiated they are refusing to film…all except Traci. The other 4 sisters quit mid season, but Traci continued to film. Braxton Family Values turns into the Traci and Phaedra show.
Traci and Phaedra sat down with ‘Good Day New York’ to give details about the show.
Traci said,
“Phaedra and I we’ve always been in crossing of seeing each other. So when, you know, the show was on a little hiatus, I…”
Host: “You mean when they walked out…”
Traci: “I continued to work and Phaedra was contacted and Phaedra was like, ‘Of course, Traci, I would love to do some adventures with you.’ So we got together and we’ve been having a ball since.”
Host: So you were thinking about doing your own show with Phaedra is that it, while the family was taking a break from one another?
Phaedra: Weeellll, we just knew a DMV Diva and a Southern Belle Sweetie would cause a lot of chaos. So we’re all about it.
Host: At a cattle ranch?
Phaedra: At a cattle ranch.
Host: With Flava Flav
Phaedra: With Flava Flav and New York. Winks.
Traci: And also Kim.
Phaedra: Kim Whitley. So honey, it’s a Motley Crew
Host: And some antics, I would imagine.
Host: So what happens when the sisters find out what you two are up to…they’re like, ‘We’re going back to work!’
Traci: Well that’s not how it happened. What had happened was…I don’t get into their business and they don’t get into mine. So they decided they were coming back. I don’t know what else is going on. They’re only my sisters. When you put a lot of business things in a mixture of a family setting, it tends to be messy. You understand what I’m saying.
Host: Are you guys ok as a family?
Traci: We’re fine as a family. We talk, we giggle, we laugh. We just don’t talk about business. Talking about business right now is not…
Host: But you and Toni and planning the wedding, you’re involved?
Traci: Oh yeah, everything.
Host: But you’re not going on the road with them to sing.
Traci: No. But I have my own thing going on. I have a new album coming out this Friday, On Earth.
Now after the news surfaced about Phaedra, Tamar and Towanda served a little snap chat shade.
Tamar jumped on her live to explain that she wasn’t being shady, she was stating facts.

Dis tew much!!! So a few questions come to my mind….why is Traci not striking? What the hell makes the network think we want to see Traci, Phaedra, New York, Flavor Flav and Kim Whitley ….on a ranch? Are they trying to make a mockery of the show since the sisters are on strike? I’ve said multiple times that BFV was on its way out, this just further confirms. They had a good run though.
