Naya Rivera’s body was found today at Lake Piru in California. Police searched for her for 6 days. “We are confident the body we found is that of Naya Rivera,” Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said, adding “there is no indication of foul play or that this was a suicide.”
The actress went missing on July 8th, 2020, after her son was found sleeping on a boat by himself.
Rivera is believed to have drowned while swimming with her son. Her son, Josey, told police that his mother never got back on the boat. Her family went to Lake Piru every day hoping that they would find her. Her father George Rivera even tried to swim around to find her.
Many celebrities showed their support in hopes of a safe return. Fellow child actor Taj Mowry penned an open letter about them being first loves.
