On a new episode of Tv One’s “Uncensored”, actress Kym Whitley talks about the early days in her career which included being a double for actress Jackee Harry. Who knew?! The internet was always mistaking them for one another, but we had no clue we used to see Kym on the classic show 227, or that it was drama between the two.
In a clip posted by her friend Tisha Campbell-Martin, Kym reflects on how she was chosen to be Jackee’s stand in, but also how Jackee was not pleased on how much she and Kym looked alike. “She didn’t like me looking like her. But I can’t change my face Jackee! This is what I got, I look like you, you look like me ok?”, said Whitley.
She went on to say that she was threatened to be beaten up by Jackee’s sister, and she used to let it get to her, but she says Marla Gibbs told her to stand up for herself. Check it out.
