50 Cent Gets It Right With BMF Series Debut.

If you missed the debut episode of the new Starz show “BMF”, you might wanna catch up…like now! 50 Cent is telling the story of Detroit drug kingpins Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and his brother Terry “Southwest T” Flenory.

The show follows Meech and T in the 80’s, and how they created one of the biggest crime families in the country, the Black Mafia Family. What I love is that it stays true to real Detroit culture from using the slang we use (What Up Doe), to dance styles, and even the food they ate and talked about. Big Meech’s role is played by his own son Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr.  Filmed in Detroit, 50 Cent and actress/director Tasha Smith made sure they were able have the real house Meech and Tee lived in to film. 50 says he wanted Lil Meech to truly walk the steps his father took.

The cast is full of great actors such as brothers Wood Harris and Steve Harris, Russell Hornsby, Ajiona Alexus and more. Lil Meech does a great job for this to be his acting debut.

The first episode had me on my toes and on the edge of my seat. This series is the one to watch. 50 did say it was going to be better than Power, and just from episode 1…I have to agree.
