Child actress Jonshel Alexander was shot and killed at the tender age of 22. You may remember her from her acting debut in ‘Beasts of the Southern Wild‘ in 2012.
The 22 year old was sitting in a car with a male friend in New Orleans on Saturday, November 27th. Both were shot by unknown suspect, but Jonshel was pronounced dead on the scene. Her male friend, whose name was not released, checked himself into a near by hospital.
Pictures of the alleged suspect were posted in hopes to find out who is behind Alexander’s murder.
Jonshel leaves behind a 1 year old daughter, De-vynne Robinson.
Her co-star Quvenzhane’ Wallis made a tweet on December 1 remembering her friend.

Alexander was the youngest of three children, The Times-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate reported. After graduating from high school, she devoted herself to the care of her daughter.
