A 32 year old Detroit mother of 4 had been missing for almost a month, leaving family members concerned where she could’ve been.

Latima Warren was last seen leaving her home on Vaughn street December 20, 2021. Her oldest children’s grandmother Gwen Parks says, she first knew something was not right, when she stopped by the home Warren and her boyfriend shared on Detroit’s west side late December. “He told me he hadn’t seen ‘Tima in four days and you didn’t call anyone you didn’t say anything to anyone,” Parks said. After filing a missing persons report, Parks put up missing posters all over the city.
The bad feeling that Gwen Parks had about Warren’s boyfriend was right. A search group was formed by Minister Malik Shabazz. Upon canvassing the outside of the home for clues, Shabazz says he saw what appeared to be a disturbed plot of dirt in the backyard along with Warren’s clothes on Sunday. He called police who obtained a warrant and found her remains the next day. Warren had been shot and killed and dismembered. Her body parts were scattered in multiple bags inside the home.
Gwen Parks had to identify the body. “I don’t want to picture of her being cut up and mangled by the guy,” Parks said. “The pain she had to be going through. “This is not a human that would do something like this to a person.”
“It means a lot to me to have closure,” Parks said. “I know people go years without finding their loved ones and this is not how I wanted to find her, but I did not want to give up looking for her.”
Warren’s boyfriend was arrested and detained for questioning. This investigation is in the early stages so not a lot of information has been released. WebCelebDaily will bring you updates as we get them.
