Woman Arrested After Pretending To Be Missing With 2 Year Old.

A Macon mother is behind bars after her family thought she went missing. When authorities located her, she was quite confused about why she was being arrested.

23-year-old Tamya De’Anna Alexander and her 2-year-old daughter Serenity Williams were last seen on Monday about noon on the 1900 block of Vining Circle getting into a blue BMW. Her family started to worry when they had not heard from Tamya, and reported them missing on Tuesday. Deputy U.S. Marshal John Edgar of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force says Alexander had texted Serenity’s father saying their daughter was in danger. She also texted a family member who had believed she was missing that she was “in a vehicle and didn’t know where she was going.”

The task force soon realized that it was all a lie. Alexander and her daughter were never missing or in any danger. She and her daughter found safe Wednesday at an acquaintance’s apartment at Vineville Christian Towers at 2394 Vineville Ave.

Bibb County sheriff’s officials said in a Thursday statement that they found none of the accusations to be true.  “Investigators found this to be false and Alexander was charged with terroristic threats and enticing a child for indecent purposes,” the statement said.

Thursday afternoon at the county jail, a judge set a $13,000 bond for Alexander. If she is able to pay, she is not allowed to have any contact with her daughter or her own mother who is caring for her daughter. She was also forced to have a mental health evaluation.

The judge over the case did not want to lock Alexander up, but said the mother definitely needed help and had concerns about the child’s safety. According to reports, the arrest warrant for Alexander mentions that Alexander in recent days made a statement to the effect that “the baby is going to die.”

“So that’s why I’m trying make sure that (Alexander) is in a place where she can get the help that she needs, and at the same time protect the baby,” Jones said. “I hate to leave her in that jail when she needs some help. But I don’t want to put her out there and then put the baby in harm’s way because (Alexander) has not gotten the attention that she needs.”

Alexander put her face in her hands and said, “I’m not gonna harm the baby.”

Hopefully she gets the help she needs. WebCelebDaily will keep you posted as this story unfolds.
