NBA Player Rajon Rondo is accused of pulling a gun out on his children’s mother. The incident is said to have taken place on May 11.
36-year-old Ashley Bachelor, Rondo’s former partner and mother of his two kids, filed to have an emergency protective order put in place for her and their two children. She says that on May 11th, Rondo was playing a video game with his son, but when she asked her son to sort clothes all hell broke loose.
TMZ reports that allegedly Rajon became enraged and ripped the game console out of the wall in front of their child. Ashley says despite the kids showing they were scared, she says he didn’t let up. She says he continued the to be destructive by smashing things inside and outside the house. Their son Pierre opened the door and Rondo “yanked him outside.” Bachelor says Rondo, who was still allegedly holding his gun, was screaming at Pierre, asking why the boy was scared of his dad.
Ashley says she didn’t want to intervene because she was afraid he would shoot her.
When her parents arrived, Rajon eventually left.
On May 13th, she wrote in detail why she needed protection. “”I am extremely fearful for my safety and for the safety of my children. Rajon has a history of volatile, erratic, explosive behavior. He is verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive. He physically hits our son and calls him names like ‘p***y’ and accuses him of acting like a ‘bitch.'”
“Rajon verbally assaults our daughter. He calls her names like ‘thot, bitch, and d**khead.’ Rajon has made several threats on my life, saying at various times he will shoot me or shoot up my car.”
Rondo has been ordered to temporarily stay 500 ft or more away from the kids and their Mom. He also had to turn over his gun.
Ashley was awarded temporary full custody of the children.
The temporary order is just until this situation can be figured out. Rondo has not been arrested and has not been named a suspect of wrong doing at this time.
