McDonald’s Employee On The Run After Shooting Manager

A 21-year-old McDonald’s employee is on the run after he is said to have shot the manager.

Christopher Jean-Pierre, has been on the run since the shooting happened at a McDonald’s on Moreland Avenue in Atlanta on Friday, June 3, police said. The police were called to the scene about 4:15 pm EST after responding to a woman being shot multiple times.

According to the report, the two got into an argument and the manager asked Jean-Pierre to leave. He returned sometime later and confronted the woman outside before shooting her. After he shot her he fled the scene and has not been seen since. The manager was identified as Elizabeth Williams, and she was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

 

The owner of the McDonald’s addressed the incident in a statement.

“Our top priority is always the safety and well-being of our employees and customers at our restaurants,” Danesha Smith told McClatchy News. “We are deeply disturbed by this incident and our thoughts are with our employee at this time. We are fully cooperating with local law enforcement in their investigation.”

Arrest warrants are out for Jean-Pierre for aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and criminal attempt to commit murder.

Atlanta PD had not yet released a picture of the suspect.
