Looks like viewers were really upset about the VMA’s this year. So much that many submitted complaints to the FCC about Madonna, Teyana Taylor and Normani.
The complaints say that the performances were too raunchy. A woman in Kansas was very upset over Normani giving Teyana Taylor a lap dance, but also the fact that Normani was on the floor like a stripper and had “her fingers near her vagina”. The woman went on to say, “This programming was on at 9pm, our children were with us watching TV. We had to make them leave the room during this porno ceremony.”
A viewer in Tennessee was upset that the ladies simulated oral sex. They described Normani’s continuing to “move upward until she was able to stick her crotch directly in [Teyana’s] face and on the girls lips exhibiting oral sex.” “this was so extreme and should NEVER have been allowed to be on any TV show.” Another viewer in Texas said Normani glamorized and mimicked sex, bondage and assault rape. A Michigan mother said she “had to keep changing the channels so my 12-year-old son wouldn’t watch that s***!”.
Complaints obtained by TMZ about Madonna came from an Illinois viewer who said Madonna appeared inebriated at the beginning of the show and wore sexually explicit clothing. The viewer was upset MTV didn’t issue warnings that it might be inappropriate for smaller children.
Another viewer is wanting a judge to award him 1 million dollars due to “rooting for his ‘gay agenda’ after his act.”
