Mila Jam Is Using Entertainment & Advocacy To Change The Conversations.

Mila Jam is a singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and LGBTQ+ advocate using her voice and her platforms to bridge together entertainment and social impact for transgender rights and LGBTQ+ inclusion.

Before launching her music career, Mila gained widespread online attention through her comedic YouTube parodies under the persona “Britney Houston.” Her creative videos attracted millions of views and showcased her talents as a performer, dancer, and entertainer. She later transitioned from parody content to original music, establishing herself as a respected artist within the pop and LGBTQ+ communities.

Mila Jam’s music blends dance/pop, R&B, and electronic influences while often exploring themes of self discovery, identity, love, resilience, and empowerment. Songs such as “Faces,” “Number One,” and tracks from her EP Pretty One have resonated with audiences for their honest reflections on the transgender experience and universal messages of self acceptance. Her work frequently celebrates authenticity and encourages listeners to embrace their true selves.

The Georgia native has helped changed the narrative for LGBTQ+ representation in music, television and media. Through interviews, public appearances, and advocacy efforts, she has used her platform to raise awareness about issues affecting transgender individuals, particularly Black transgender women. Her message consistently emphasizes visibility, equality, dignity, and the importance of representation in entertainment and society.

Over the course of her career, Mila Jam has collaborated and performed with notable artists and public figures, earning recognition for both her artistry and activism. She continues to inspire audiences worldwide through her music, storytelling, and dedication to creating a more inclusive future.

Mila even made history in 2024 being the first playable Black trans woman in a major studio’s video game. She was featured in Sony Playstation’s game “Concord” as a “knife-wielding assassin” as she described in an Instagram post.

“I had to go for a walk because I just don’t like it when PlayStation wants to turn me into the baddest, knife-wielding assassin in all the land,” she wrote. “That’s right, yours truly as free-gunner Bazz in PlayStation’s new multi-player video game Concord.”

Mila is also appearing in season 3 of hit Netflix show “Survival of the Thickest”, starring alongside show co-creator Michelle Buteau .
