This whole Birdman vs Lil Wayne beef is getting waaay out of hand. Young Thug was arrested on terroristic threats earlier this week, for threatening to shoot a mall cop. Now police say he AND Birdman are more than likely responsible for the Lil Wayne’s tour bus shooting that happened few months back.
Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, Young Thug’s tour manager, is the man that shot up Wayne’s tour bus in April. Police say moments after the shooting, Jimmy placed a phone call to a phone owned by Birdman. After that, they say he drove to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, which is were Wayne’s entourage stopped after the shooting went down. Police suspect that Jimmy went to finish the job, but cops got there first to investigate what had happened.
Cops are using lyrics in Young Thug’s song “HalfTime” against Jimmy, where he is holding a rifle and says he would shoot Wayne in the head.
While police are trying to prove that Birdman and Thugga were behind the shooting, they are keeping Young Thug locked up on felony cocaine and marijuana possession, and 3 counts of felony gun possession.
Word on the street is that Jimmy did the shooting to get initiated into the Blood gang. Both Young thug and Birdman claim their affiliation with the gang.
