Court documents show that seven more women have come forward with allegations against actor Cuba Gooding Jr. The total is now 22 women, to have accused the Oscar winner of sexual assault. The unidentified women say they were victims of groping, touching, grabbing, kissing, licking and professional sabotage. One of the women say that in 2011 in Atlanta, Gooding put his hands inside her pants and cupped her butt. She says she confronted him and his response to her was “I know you want to be an actress; I can ruin you.”
Cuba’s lawyer Mark Jay Heller says his client denies all the charges. He says, “unfortunately, people come out of the woodwork, making false allegations against Cuba, as often times happens when a celebrity is accused by the district attorney’s office in a public forum.”
He then added, “The spurious, uncharged allegations offered by the district attorney’s office are so ancient and outdated and lacking in details and impairs the defendant from defending against them.”
The actor’s next court hearing is scheduled for January 22. He plead not guilty back in October for forcible touching and sex abuse. He is not currently facing charges for the seven women that have come forward, but Prosecutors would like for the judge to allow one of the alleged victims to have an impact on the case to show a pattern.
