While people are worried about his relationship with Ciara, Future made his way to the top of the Billboard charts with his new album, DS2: Dirty Sprite 2. This is his 3rd studio album, and he only had 7 days to promote it before it was released. The fan reception has been crazy!
J. Cole, Beyonce, Drake and Kendrick Lamar have proven you do not need months and months of promo to have successful album sales. Future can now be added to this list. Whoever is on his marketing team pulled off the brilliant idea to do free shows in 7 cities. Despite having a bit of trouble with the LA show, he was still able to get the fans loving his new album.
It wasn’t just the marketing though, Future actually has a great album on his hands. In his new documentary, he tells DJ Akademiks that he knows what the people want to hear from him…..and that is everything ratchet. He keeps the ratchet, ass bouncing trap music going on this album.
With only one feature from Drake on the entire project, Future has sold 147,000 copies in one week! He is at the top of his game musically.
